Description

XPort6000 is a dual channel Ultra-320 SCSI controller with a PCI/PCI-X interface running at up to 133 MHz. XPort6000 is implemented on a single width PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC). Both channels are full Ultra-320 low voltage SCSI interfaces with full active termination. Channel one is accessed via a 68-pin front panel SCSI connector. Channel two is optional and available through the backplane P14 connector.

XPort6000 is based around the LSI Logic 53C1030 dual channel SCSI controller with an integrated PCI-X interface. The module is compatible with the standard SDMS driver system from LSI logic, ensuring reliable operation under a wide variety of operating systems. A local Flash ROM, serial EEPROM and non-volatile SRAM allow XPort6000 to support the full range of driver features including the Flash BIOS and hardware disk mirroring.

To the system designer XPort6000 provides a high performance solution for access to both internal and external SCSI devices.
