Description
XPedite5001 is a high-performance Conduction Cooled Processor PMC Module (PrPMC) and/or XMC capable of operating at up to 85C without faceplate I/O. XPedite5001 is tolerant of extended shock up to 40g peak sawtooth for 11ms and vibration of 0.1g2/Hz from 5 to 2000Hz. Powered by the MPC8540 (PowerQUICC III™), XPedite5001 supports two 10/ 100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.3 compliant interfaces. XPedite5001 provides two UARTs and eight general purpose pins routed to the backplane connector. Coupled with X-ES supplied software, customers can install XPedite5001 on standard VME and cPCI platforms, or, custom motherboards that support PMC sites.

With the PQIII’s integrated PCI-X, DDR SDRAM, and Ethernet interfaces, the PQIII offers a highly optimized solution for packet processing and general computing applications. The serial and gigabit Ethernet interfaces are accessible either through the front panel or P14 I/O.

For performance systems, XPedite5001 can be used as an XMC in which the 500MHz 8-bit RapidIO interface can be used in accordance to VITA 42 in parallel or in substitution of the 133MHz, 64 bit PCI-X 1.0a, PCI 2.2 compliant interface.
