XAct1000 is an intelligent backplane designed to expand high performance 133 MHz PCI-X operation to 8 PCI slots. The XAct1000 uses a fully bridged architecture to allow each slot to operate independently and locally at the maximum 133Mhz PCI-X bandwidth. The XAct1000 provides the ability to simultaneously test 8 PCI-X 133MHz devices while providing independent slot controls for power, reset, JTAG operations, and PCI-X rates. The XAct1000 requires a PrPMC for system management. The PrPMC slot operates at 100MHz PCI-X rates. Connector support is provided for serial and ethernet connections supported by the PMC device. The XAct1000 supports a standard ATX power connector allowing low cost power supplies to be used. |
